Font use should be logical and have a purpose.

Colors should be exciting, not overwhelming.

Animations, flash & graphics should serve their purpose, not distract or annoy your customers.

- The spelling & grammar should be correct.

This may seem trivial, but it's amazing how many sites are wrought with misspellings and poor grammar. Attention to this "minor" detail contributes directly to how you are perceived by your customers.

- It should be easy to navigate.

Your customers shouldn't have to search your pages to try to get to the next one - or to the one they really want!

Navigation bars and links should be in a similar position on every page, allowing for smooth surfing enabling your customers to easily find what they are looking for.
